How our winter setup works

We only have winterized bungalows open for the winter months, which are 2bedrooms and 1Bedroom cottages. They are wood heated, and the water is turn off. The heated common washrooms and showers are used during this period. The nice part about, is that you do not have to do dishes, all dishes are done by the local dish washer, and there are plenty of wishes so as you do not run out.

Depending the time you are at Fred's Camp there are different things you may wish to do, other than the usual winter stuff, like snowmobiling, or ice fishing. Some interesting things to do is snowshoeing through the bush, cross country skiing on the ice along the shores edge, or even a walk along the shores edge to see all life's activities that go on.

As it gets dark early you my what to bring that book you always wanted to read ( there are little library's in each cottage, which you are welcome to enjoy).

Winter barbecuing is always nice to remind you of summer, also bring your favorite treats and drink, for a cozy cold winter night.

Most beds have mattress heaters and nice warm blankets, to ensure you don't get cold. For a break from the city and the noise in general, a weekend out a Fred's Camp in the winter will bring a little rest sanity back into your life.
